Fire

Here is the SFGATE article on the fire.  A friend of mine lost her house.  Her family is safe.

My heart is breaking for these people. Their lives will never be the same.

  1. My mom just told me about this on the phone. I can't believe I didn't even know about it. I can't even believe what these people are going through. I remember the feelings of devastation and disbelief and deep sadness I experienced when my apartment building went up in flames about 2 1/2 years ago. It was unbearable. I don't even know how they are coping with such devastating and shocking loss. My heart is out there with all the survivors, and my heart is with your friend and her family. The only comfort at a time like this is the resilience of the human spirit. oh my goodness.

  2. its brutal. I can't imagine one day everything is gone. I think it's hard for anyone to truly imagine what that would be like for days, months, even years after. You however do; I'm sorry you went through that and you can imagine what it must be like for these people. I am very saddened yes, by the deaths, but more by the people who were burned and the very difficult struggles they are facing. The outpouring of help is uplifting and yes, the human spirit is what it's all about!
